Do you ever struggle with talking about money?
We all have a fear of talking about money. But guess what? We all need money, and there should be no shame in asking the right questions and getting paid for what you deserve.
Money is a sensitive subject for some people. I think that’s partly because we all have different thoughts on it and how it should be used. It can bring up some pretty intense conversations, but our guest today will share her positive perspective about money that will make you feel comfortable talking about it.
Friends, Iโm so honored to have Rachel Rodgers on The School of Greatness. She is the founder of Hello Seven, a multi-million dollar company that teaches you how to earn more money and build wealth. In this episode, we discuss how to feel worthy if youโre going through a difficult financial situation, how everyone can become a millionaire and the fastest way to do it, why itโs so difficult for people to be transparent about money, and so much more!
Itโs such a powerful conversation that I had to break it up into two parts. This is part one, so make sure to check out part two of our conversation as well. So buckle up, get ready to take notes, and let the class begin.

Sometimes, when weโre in the midst of a difficult financial situation, we may feel like we are not good enough for something, especially when our bank account doesn’t show our value. But Rachel has some valuable advice on how we can feel worthy even when weโre broke.
How to Feel Worthy When We Are Broke
If you’re going through a difficult financial situation, it may seem impossible to feel worthy. You might be struggling to maintain your self-confidence and live up to societal expectations. But with the right mindset, there are ways you can start feeling good about yourself again, and Rachel has some tips for overcoming feelings of inadequacy when money gets tight.
โYou have to recognize that you are inherently worthy. I was just as valuable as I am today 15 years ago โฆ or 20 years ago.โ – Rachel Rodgers
So often we donโt realize our own worthiness as human beings until later on in life when everything falls into place perfectly. The world is not always going to tell you that, but it’s true. You may feel like an outcast in school or work like your ideas aren’t good enough for people to listen to, or that you’re just not good enough in general. But these are false ideas! You have intrinsic value, and there are ways you can recognize what makes yourself valuable even when the rest of the world doesn’t seem to agree with you. The best way to change that mindset is to surround yourself with the right people.
โI think it’s the environment, โฆ like starting to spend time with people who have confidence and belief in themselves. โฆ What they saw in me, โฆ [and] realizing what other people see in me that I don’t see in myself โ you need that reflection back.โ – Rachel Rodgers
It’s easy to get caught up in your own world and forget how much time you spend with yourself. The more you push people away, the more you’re left with yourself. Whether it’s an introverted personality or a fear of rejection, there are many reasons why people choose not to reach out and make friends. It doesn’t have to be that way! You can take small steps to change your life by spending time with those who believe in themselves and encourage you to do the same.
โI’ve been spending time in LA this week with black women entrepreneurs that I talk to on Twitter all the time and listen to the way that they will hype [me] up. We hype each other up, and that’s so important. โฆ So, I think we need that in our lives, and we have to put ourselves out there, be a friend first, and then you’ll find that squad, and you’ll start to create that community around yourself. โฆ There’s no way you can’t believe [in yourself] when you’re surrounded by people who are constantly reflecting it back to you.โ – Rachel Rodgers
It’s not every day that you see someone who is genuinely happy, positive, and excited about life. We all have our days where we are feeling down or just don’t feel like doing anything. It’s hard not to fall into a slump when everyone around you is constantly telling you, “You can’t do it” or, “It’s impossible.” But what if there was a group of people who surrounded themselves with positivity, making that their reality? You will greatly benefit from a community that hypes each other up making it easier for you to achieve your dreams and become a millionaire.
