#1: Take action right away.
For many of us, the first thing we do when we wake up is grab our phone, check social media, and lay around waiting for the โperfect momentโ to get out of bed
But if you do this, it puts you in a mindset of hesitation and reaction for the day ahead. For the whole day, youโll be sitting around waiting for โperfect momentsโ before you take any action.
So instead of laying around, jump out of bed within the first few minutes of waking up without touching your phone. Itโs a simple but important action you can take as soon as you wake up. Then, do something intentional โ like making your bed, drinking a glass of water, or practicing meditation.
When you start your day with action and intention, it puts you in a mindset of going after what you want without hesitation.
#2: Set your intentions for the day.
The rest of your morning routine doesnโt matter unless you move into the day ahead with a purpose.
So many times we find ourselves mindlessly going through the day, doing only whatโs required of us until itโs time to go to bed. You can avoid this by setting your purpose and intentions in the morning.
The goal would be to set a clear game plan at the beginning of each week so you know exactly what you want to do each day. Then in the morning, take a few minutes to visualize your optimal future and then write down the actions you need to take to get there.
Donโt just find clarity on your purpose once in a while. Do it EVERY morning, so that every day you can move forward towards that purpose. Find your WHY, and everything else will fall into place.
#3: Add the habits that work best for YOU.
A thousand different people will tell you a thousand different habits you โshouldโ and โshouldnโtโ have in your morning routine. Personally, the morning habits I LOVE are working out, journaling, expressing my gratitude, meditating, and tapping into accountability.
But donโt go ahead and copy my routine. I chose these habits because they give ME the most energy to start my day โ and you should do the same.
So after you take action and set your intentions for the day, build the rest of your routine out of the habits that excite YOU and give you the most purpose for the day ahead. (This could be reading, prayer, positive affirmations, or any of the habits I do in my routine.)
